James Lutterodt, KETASCO’s NSMQ Excellent Final Contestant For 2021 Allegedly Poisoned To Death

James Lutterodt, an NSMQ finalist who represented Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) in the National Science and Maths Quiz final 2021, has allegedly passed on this morning owing to food poisoning alleged to be the cause of death.

News of the demise of the promising intellectual, James Lutterodt, surfaced on the internet today, which has hit all and sundry who are acquainted with the historic stride he made with his fellow contestants at the dignified quiz competition.

However, his family has not yet publicly confirmed the tragic news as well as the cause of death. He was studying Computer Science at the University of Ghana in Legon.

In 2021, Ghanaians were glued to their devices, which aired the most prestigious Science and math quiz in the country, in awe of three young, brilliant students who hoisted the intelligent flag of the Volta Region high at the National Science and Math Quiz.

Though they failed to emerge winners, their outstanding feat flooded the headlines, and they were the hot cake in every discussion and recognition. Francisca Lamini, Bright, and James Lutterodt were the three contestants who earned KETASCO a name in the history of the Science and Maths Quiz competition.

Finishing third behind the six-time winners, Legon Presec, and losing the honor to Kumasi-based Prempeh College, the contestants were lauded by Ghanaians, with their slogan “God of 1ders” dominating most of the hastags.

They wrote their name in history as KETASCO became the only school from the Volta region since the inception of the competition in 1993 to make it to the finals. They finished third with 30 points, with Presbyterian Boys giving them a gaping stretch of 49 points to pick second and Prempeeh College emerging the winners and scoring 53 points.

They received a massive welcome from the school as the entire team was guided to the campus with a procession from the Keta Business College Junction (KETABUSCO) and received a guard of honor from the school’s cadet corps. They were honored by Torgbui Dzelu IV, Dufia of Dzelukope, at a cultural ceremony.

Francisca Lamini, the only female contestant among the three contestants and the only female contestant in the finals, was awarded a fully sponsored scholarship for an undergraduate program at the pretigious Havard University, as announced by the America Chamber of Commerce, Ghana.

In a dinner organized under the auspices of caring Sisters, an NGO supporting the education of girls in the Anlo Traditional Area, the trio got an investment fund set up by Tesah Capital’s.

James Lutterodt who is based in Tema got generated interest in National Science and Maths Quiz since Junior High School.
