6-storey Building On UDS Campus Collapses

A building under construction on the Sagnarigu City Campus of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has caved in.

Security personnel manning the campus have refused to allow journalists access to the scene of the incident.

The UDS city campus runs graduate programs and hosts the newly established School of Business.

The Saturday accident happened during a rainstorm.

The main cause of the building collapse has not yet been revealed. But residents at the area believe it is because of poor construction. There were no casualties

The collapse of the six-storey structure is the third building accident in a week.

Two separate 3-storey buldings collapsed days apart at Adentan in Accra.
