AG Drops Charges Against Collins Dauda, 4 Others In Saglemi Housing Case

-

The Attorney General, Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has withdrawn all charges against former Minister of Works and Housing, Collins Dauda, and four others in the Saglemi Housing Project case.
A nolle prosequi notice was filed at the Financial Division 1 of the Accra High Court, indicating that the state will no longer pursue the case, according to a report by 3news.com.

The notice, signed by the Attorney General, was filed in February 2025, bringing an end to the prosecution’s case against the accused persons.

The accused persons included Collins Dauda, former Minister of Works and Housing; Kweku Agyeman-Mensah, former Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing; Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu, former Chief Director at the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing; Nouvi Tetteh Angelo, CEO of Ridge Management Solutions Ghana Limited; and Andrew Clocanas, former Executive Chairman of Construtora OAS Ghana Limited, who has since passed away.

The five were facing trial for 70 counts of causing financial loss to the state in relation to the controversial $200 million Saglemi Affordable Housing Project.

Clocanas and Nouvi Tetteh Angelo were accused of being involved in financial irregularities surrounding the contract.

The case was initiated by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government.
