JUST IN: BUILDING COLLAPSE KILLS TWO PERSONS.(checkout photos)

Two persons have been confirmed dead after a the fence wall of a building collapsed on them at Atasemanso-Konkronmpase in Kumasi.

One other person is in critical condition and receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The deceased and their friends who are all masons where erecting a fence wall when another wall fell on them.

A joint rescue team from the police-Fire Service managed to rescue one of the three who were trapped.

Lifeless bodies of the two others were retrieved by the team.

“I was working at one side of the building when I heard a loud bang,” a distraught worker told 3news.com

“Some workers and I rushed towards where the sound came from only to see a wall had collapsed on our colleagues. We tried to rescue them but to no avail. Personnel from the Fire Service and police were swift in arriving at the scene but only one person was rescued.”

The contractor of the building has since been picked up by the police to assist in investigation.
