Kennedy Agyapong Disagree With Akufo-Addo Endorsement Of Bantama MP; Set To Hit The Ground And Campaign Against Sitting NPP MP

Agyapong Bantama Addo Asenso
Following President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s public endorsement of Francis Asenso-Boakye for the Bantama Constituency’s Member of Parliament seat, Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a prominent figure in the recent New Patriotic Party presidential primaries, is gearing up for an intensive campaign in Bantama.

Ralph Agyapong, Kennedy Agyapong ‘s brother and a contender for the Bantama Constituency’s MP seat, revealed this plan during a library commissioning ceremony at Bantama. President Akufo-Addo, speaking at the event, urged the people of Bantama to maintain Asenso-Boakye as their representative, expressing his desire for Asenso-Boakye to continue the commendable work he has been doing.

“It will hurt me so much if the people of Bantama throw him away. Give him the opportunity to represent you again, and he will come and continue the good job he has been doing,” Akufo-Addo stated.

In response to the president’s endorsement, Ralph Agyapong shared in an interview on Akoma FM that Kennedy Agyapong is delighted about the endorsement and is preparing to intensify his campaign efforts in Bantama.

“The president has come, so he (Kennedy Agyapong) is also coming to Bantama. He is coming to campaign for me. Won’t he come after the president has come? He says the race will be very interesting,” Ralph emphasized.

Kennedy Agyapong ‘s decision to actively participate in the Bantama campaign reflects the strategic importance of the president’s endorsement. As the political landscape in Bantama heats up, the involvement of both Akufo-Addo and Kennedy Agyapong is expected to add an intriguing dynamic to the competition, making it a closely watched and highly contested race.
