Former Deputy Minister of Trade and Tema West Member of Parliament(MP), Carlos Ahenkorah has observed that Government appointees supporting the candidature of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are doing so to protect their positions.
However, he believes that there is a need for change so others who did not benefit from the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration can also enjoy some of the goodies in government.
To him, this will only be possible if the party does not cheat Alan Kyerematen but give him the nod to lead the party because he is the only candidate who can lead the NPP to make history in Ghana’s political space.
“Government appointees who are on the other side are there to protect their positions. They have got some but are shielding what they have got so they can maintain their positions. We also deserve to enjoy and when Alan Kyerematen is given the nod, we will also have our time,” he said during a health walk organized in Accra by groups supporting Alan Kyerematen.
He noted that to break the eight like the party expects to, Alan Kyerematen presents a good choice who is loved by all.
