Suame MCE announces major road rehabilitation to tackle traffic congestion
Frank Owusu Ansah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suame, has pledged to prioritize the reconstruction of key roads within the municipality as part of efforts to address persistent traffic congestion.

In a recent statement issued via his official Facebook page, the MCE revealed that the ongoing traffic gridlock in the municipality has become a major concern for residents, prompting urgent calls for intervention.
Owusu Ansah specifically highlighted the importance of the rehabilitation of Kronum Road, which he described as a critical artery for the community.
“The reconstruction of Kronum Road is essential to reduce traffic congestion, as residents have raised their concerns about this issue,” Owusu Ansah wrote.
“As the Municipal Chief Executive, I must serve the community and ensure their comfort,” he added.
The MCE’s announcement comes amid growing frustration among Kronum residents over long hours spent in traffic, particularly during peak periods.
Many have attributed the congestion to the poor state of local roads, which are often riddled with potholes and are unable to accommodate the increasing volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Pictures posted by the Municipal Chief Executive show that contractors are on site, resurfacing the road and carrying out proper filling and expansion of sections prone to congestion.
