Ghanaian US-Based Singer Shot Dead By Sister-In-Law Over An Argument

22-year-old US-based Ghanaian songstress, Britney Boateng has been reportedly shot dead by her sister-in-law following an altercation between both of them.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, the Ghanaian singer was fatally shot during an argument with Tyona Dodson who has now been arrested. However, it in unclear what sparked the argument between Britney and Tyona.

Columbus police indicated, they received a call at around one in the morning. on a report of a shooting, at the 400 block of South Weyant Avenue on the East Side.

Officers discovered Britney Boateng, 22, of the Southeast Side, shot when they arrived. Paramedics pronounced Boateng dead at the scene. Tyona Dunkle, an East Side resident aged 41, was detained by police and accused of murder.

Court records show that Dunkle resides in the house where the shooting occurred. Police claim that before the shooting, Dunkle and Boateng got into a fight or other altercation.

At the moment, Dunkle is being detained in the Franklin County jail.
