‘UNLIKE MILLS, AKUFO ADDO IS NOT HUMAN’ – BRIGADIER NUNOO MENSAH

-

Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah intimates President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not human.

But rather, the former Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces say Akufo-Addo, unlike former president, John Evans Atta Mills, the late, is a politician.

He asserts humans are truthful, dissimilar to politicians who lie their way to power and do things different from their professions prior to ascending into office.

Speaking with Captain Smart on Onua TV/FM’s Maakye Monday, August 15, 2022, Brig. Gen. Nunoo-Mensah said he was President Akufo-Addo’s campaign manager in 1998, but left to follow Prof. Mills because the latter was truthful.

“I was Nana Addo’s campaign manager in 1998. I toured the whole country with him. I left and supported Mills. Mills was human not a politician. Akufo-Addo is a politician. Mills was truthful. Politicians are not truthful. Humans are truthful. Mahama is a politician, Kufuor is a politician. All of them except Mills,” he responded one after the other when Captain Smart asked him.

He continued that the motive of every politician is seeking favour from the electorates to perpetuate their parochial interest after getting power.

“Politicians want favour. They don’t think about anybody. They lie their way to power,” he indicated.

Meanwhile, he has chastised both the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress for taking Ghana for granted rather than prioritising the development of the nation after all the years of being in power.

“None of these two parties [NPP, NDC] can help Ghana. Apart from Nkrumah, nobody loved Ghana passionately,” he noted, adding that Prof. Mills loved Ghana but couldn’t get the time to do more before his demise.
