Former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen has withdrawn from the November 4 Presidential Primary following what has been described as an unexpected poor show in the recently-held Super Delegates Conference and disappointment in how the way the election was conducted
Alan Kyerematen, who has scheduled an address on Tuesday, September 5, polled 95 out of 961 in the NPP Special Delegates Conference to place a distant third behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
“In a press release Alan Kyerematen stated that after an extensive review of the Super Delegates election he doesn’t have the confidence in the process leading to the election of the presidential candidate for the NPP and hence he doesn’t see the need still participating in it.
“ A close source from Alan Camp earlier stated that even though they have publicly expressed their displeasure with the process, the reality is that things are not so good on the ground, and they have to honestly admit and take bold decisions.”
In the release Alan said he will announce his political move after consulting family and other stakeholders
