SHS student imprisoned for defiling 18 months twin girls

-

A 22 year old senior high school student Patrick Nyarkoh who was arrested for the defilement of 18 months old twin sisters have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour.
The incidence occurred at Nsuta in the Assin South District of the Central Region. The convict, Patrick admitted to committing the crime and explained that he was under the influence of an evil spirit.
“Their mother left them in my care while I was charging my phone in my room. I fell asleep in no time and before I realized, I had sex with the younger of the twins and I believe I was possessed by an unknown evil spirit to do so, I am pleading for forgiveness” he pleaded.
Inspector Gilbert Ayongo told the court presided by Dorinda Smith Asante that the convict lives in the same house with the victim’s mother at Assin Nsuta. However, he said on Sunday March 21, 2021 the mother of the victims left them in the care of the convict to purchase some items. On her return, she noticed the absence of her twin girls and suspected they might be in the room of the convict. Thus she forcibly opened the door and found one of her girls lying unconscious with the other pointing to her vagina area and then pointing to the convict.
Alarmed, she shouted for help. The victims were then taken to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu where it was confirmed that they have been both defiled. Following this, a complaint was made at the police station where Patrick Nyarkoh was then arrested.
