Ministry of roads secures measures to relocate Kasoa toll booth

-

The Kasoa road, a link from the Accra to Winneba is notable for hefty traffic almost every time of the day. Passengers and drivers have to endure the unbearable go slow movement of cars for hours before being able to leave that section unto a free highway. Although, one can attribute the cause of this to the overwhelming number of cars in the system, the presence of the toll booth is another factor for the irresistible traffic jam
Therefore, the Minister for roads and Highways, Mr. Kwasi Amoako Atta has revealed that, measures are taking place to relocate the Kasoa toll booth to help ease vehicular traffic.
He explained that, the authorities have noted that there is going to be a challenge in expanding the toll booth due to a valley around the area. Although road users of that particular route have made several complains on having the toll booth relocated to ease the traffic movements, the ministry in itself is also putting up measures to help solve the situation.
“there is a deep valley from the Accra side, so it is difficult to expand the Accra bound side and immediately after that there is settlement, we are limited, we can neither go right or go left, so we need to send it at a place where we can get land space”. “We are looking at it if it means relocation”.
