Some constituents in the Ablekuma West Constituency were seen hooting at a vehicle that was carrying food packs to the polling station.

In a video shared by Channel One TV on X, as soon as the vehicle entered the voting area, some of the people present to cast their votes began hooting and forcing it to exit the premises.

The pick-up was then escorted by security personnel to leave the area and find a safe place to park as tension was brewing.

According to reports, some of the residents claimed that the package was from the incumbent Member of Parliament in the constituency, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, to be distributed to party officials.

Neither the MP nor any electoral official has commented on the case yet as security personnel made efforts to control the situation.

The 2024 general elections are ongoing across 276 constituencies in the country, with 18.8 million people expected to vote.

Of the 18.8 million voters, 459,291 represent 4% of the voter population. Forty-eight percent of the voters are male, while the female population makes up 52%.
