Police Foil mining Site Robbery; Four Including Two In Military Uniform Arrested

Police in Prestea of the Western region have arrested two men in military uniforms and two civilian, after an alleged attempt to rob LongShine Mining Company Limited, a Chinese-owned firm.

The incident occurred on Sunday, September 28, at Prestea-Obouhu.

The company’s Public Relations Officer, Zion Rootman, confirmed the incident in an interview with Accra0based Channel One News.

Mr. Rootman explained that the suspects arrived at the site in a pickup truck, with two masked.

According to him, the company quickly alerted the Prestea Police, who intervened and apprehended the suspects during the operation.

They have since been transferred to the Tarkwa Regional Police Command for further investigation.
