Ghanaian Nurses To Begin Working In Grenada — Official Confirms

Ghanaian nurses are set to begin working in Grenada following an agreement between the Government of Ghana and the Caribbean nation. The arrangement, confirmed by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, will open new employment opportunities for Ghana’s healthcare professionals abroad.
According to the minister, both countries are finalizing the necessary frameworks to facilitate the deployment of qualified nurses to Grenada’s health institutions. The initiative aims to strengthen international cooperation while addressing healthcare workforce shortages in Grenada.
Minister Ablakwa noted that the move forms part of Ghana’s broader strategy to create job avenues for skilled professionals and enhance the country’s global reputation for producing highly competent nurses. He encouraged interested applicants to prepare their credentials for review once the recruitment process officially begins.
The development has been welcomed by health sector observers, who see it as a positive step toward reducing unemployment among nurses and deepening Ghana’s ties with Caribbean nations.
