Medikal’s Twitter Account Suspended For Impersonating Prez Akufo- Addo

The Twitter account of Ghanaian rapper Samuel Frimpong known in the music space as Medikal has been suspended for impersonating the president, Nana Addo.
Medikal a few days ago changed his profile picture on Twitter to the photo of the President. He also changed his username on Twitter to “Mr. President”.

Medikal’s Twitter account got suspended after a Sarknative (a fan of rapper Sarkodie) snitched on him by reporting the account.

The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk has earlier announced and issued a warning to Twitter accounts that impersonate someone else without adding Parody risks suspension.

He tweeted a few days ago, “Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended”.

“Previously, we issued a warning before the suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning. This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue”.

“Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark”.
