AblakwaCaught In Operational Activity Of Company Owned By Him: Movement For Justice Ghana Reveals Evidence

Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, has been put under the spotlight by the Movement for Justice Ghana (MFJG) following a report of evidence of operational activity of a company owned by Ablakwa.

The company, Exploit International Company Limited, is said to have been in activity since 2013, a period in which Ablakwa was already the Deputy Minister for Education.

According to the report, which was released on August 27, Exploit International Company Limited has been engaged in the importation of spare parts and other items for the past six years.

The report from the MFJG further stated that Ablakwa’s company had a total turnover of GH¢273,000.00 (over two hundred and seventy three thousand Ghana cedis) between 2017 and 2018.

The report also alleged that Ablakwa’s company was engaged in the importation of goods and services without any payment of taxes and duties to the government.

The MFJG in the report further called on the Anti-Corruption Agency of Ghana and the Ministry of Trade and Industry to investigate this matter and take the necessary action against Ablakwa.

The report has put the MP in the mud, as the report further stated that this activity was in breach of the parliamentary rules and code of conduct of the Honourable Members of Parliament, as well as the law of Ghana.
