An eight year-old-boy has been shot at Apradan in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region by a Chinese man called Afei popularly known as Soldier.

The incident occurred Wednesday 12th January 2022 around 8:00am.

According to the mother of the victim, Sarah Padiki, who spoke to Agoo Fm News Obrempong Kweku Ampomah, his son was playing behind the residence of the Chinese with his friends when she heard a gun fired from the house.

She said she then rushed to see her son bleeding so all she could do at the time was to rinse the blood with clean water and with the help of some residents, they rushed him to the Holy Family Hospital, Nkawkaw.

“We don’t have any problem with the Chinese. We live in harmony with them. They play with my son and even send him on errands, so I don’t know why and how this could happen like that,” she said.

The victim’s Uncle, Mr. Narteh Benjamin pleaded with government and the justice system to ensure justice is served.

It took the intervention of the Nkawkaw police command to prevent residents from attacking the Chinese in the community .

The Police has however begun investigation into the matter
