The Ghana Education Service (GES) has removed Mr. Charles Akwasi Aidoo, Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST Senior High School, from his position following a viral video allegedly showing him in a compromising situation with a female student.

In a statement signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, on Monday, September 29, 2025, GES described the incident as serious and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting students and maintaining the integrity of the teaching profession.

Mr. Aidoo has also been barred from visiting the school while investigations are ongoing. GES assured parents, stakeholders, and the public that due process will be followed and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken in line with its code of conduct.

“The GES remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and child protection in all schools. We strongly condemn any acts that compromise the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of students,” the statement emphasized.
