GRNMA General Secretary Criticized for Verbal Attack on Health Minister.

Dr Tenkorang

A strongly worded letter has been written to Dr. David Tenkorang-Twum, General Secretary of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), criticizing his verbal attacks on Health Minister Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh.

The letter, penned by M.K. Eric, describes Dr. Tenkorang-Twum’s behavior as “verbal diarrhea” and questions his leadership abilities and emotional intelligence.

The criticism stems from Dr. Tenkorang-Twum’s response to the Health Minister’s actions following an incident at Ridge Hospital in Accra, where a person was videoing hospital workers and patients for not attending to their colleague, causing disturbances.

The Minister’s swift response to the incident, including personally assessing the situation and ensuring the affected nurse received free treatment and compensation, has been highlighted as an example of effective leadership.

In an exclusive interview with Fabea FM’s Apiah-Kubi, Eric raised concerns about Dr. Tenkorang-Twum’s impartiality and potential bias against the current government, suggesting that his actions could damage the image of GRNMA.

He also questioned Dr. Tenkorang-Twum’s suitability for the role of General Secretary, citing his lack of emotional intelligence and maturity.

According to Eric, the controversy highlights the importance of effective leadership and communication in professional settings, particularly in roles that require collaboration with other stakeholders.
