According to a new poll conducted by Global Info Analytics, former President John Dramani Mahama is the most popular choice among Ghanaians to succeed Nana Akufo-Addo in the next election.

Mr. Mahama was found to have a 29% advantage over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in a survey of potential voters for the 2024 elections.

With Mr. Mahama receiving 73 percent of the vote to Dr. Bawumia’s 24 percent, the survey suggests that the NPP is losing ground in the Eastern Region.

The survey was completed by 5,661 people.

The total number of voters in each area was used to determine how many people would be included in each region’s sample, according to the EC 2020 register.

Based on the results of a random simulation of all 275 districts, the assigned sample for each region will be distributed to specific districts.

According to the survey, Mr. Mahama has reclaimed lost ground in the Northern Region.

According to the poll, he also maintains his lead in the Vice President’s home state of the North East.

Seventy percent believe the NPP will “Break the Eight” by winning a third consecutive term in 2024, while 19 percent are optimistic and 10 percent are unsure.
Approximately 46% of NPP voters are pessimistic about the party’s chances in the 2024 elections, while 43% are optimistic.
