A report reaching us confirmed that Nhyira Marfo Okyere, one of the lead singers and founders of the hit Ghanaian gospel group Team Eternity, has passed away.
In an interview with GhanaWeb on Wednesday, blogger Zhikay Ikejunior, who broke the news on his Facebook handle, confirmed the passing.
According to Zhikay, who is close to the team, Nhyira reportedly passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The cause of death remains unknown
The deceased’s last public appearance was at an event on Sunday, August 2, 2024, which now stands as her final ministration.

Ghanaian gospel music collective, Team Eternity Ghana, has announced the passing of its member, Nhyira Marfo.According to a statement issued by the group, Nhyira, one of the lead singers of Team Eternity passed away on August 7, 2024.“On Wednesday, 7th August, 2024, we received news of the sudden passing of our friend and sister, Nhyira Marfo.Grief-stricken and heartbroken as we are, yet we turn to the Lord from Whom all comfort flows. We trust in Him Who knows the end from the beginning and take refuge in his promise that, ‘…surely I am with you always, to the very end of age.” (Matthew 28:20).
