VRA opens its CDP scholarship for the 2023/2024 academic year

-

The Volta River Authority (VRA), the managers of the Akosombo Dam and Ghana’s electricity producer, has opened applications to its Community Development Programme (CDP) Scholarship Scheme, aimed at providing a tertiary education for brilliant but needy students within the Authority’s impacted communities.

The scholarship scheme forms part of the Authority’s corporate social responsibility and targets non-fee-paying tertiary students who are indigenes of communities within its operational areas.

All students who obtained between aggregates 6 and 24 at the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) levels are eligible to apply.

A statement announcing the opening of the scholarship indicated that it will cover academic user fees, SRC dues, and hostel fees for beneficiaries.
